General Pipeline: Props Community 
 
We help the cast tell their story with their props. We make sure the items are in place and pay attention to the details. We repair on the fly if necessary, to be ready for the show. We look for people with prop-making skills who are good at troubleshooting. They must know paints, adhesives; be good with tools and be resourceful. Knowledge of small electronics and radio-controlled devices would be a bonus.  
 
Our team sizes vary depending on the complexity of the production, and foster a structure of growth throughout the company, containing Technician and leadership positions where one can have a lifelong career in live entertainment. Come join one of our 5 diverse divisions at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group:  
·  Touring Shows Division (TSD) – international Big Top and Arena touring shows. You must be available and authorized to work internationally full time (365 days). 
·  Resident Shows Division (RSD) – resident shows in Las Vegas and Orlando 
·  Affiliate Shows Division (ASD) – Blue Man Group (BMG), VStar, Cirque Dreams and The Works Entertainment, with both resident and arena touring options 
·  Events & Experience (E&E) – sporadic events across the globe 
·  Studio Teams in Montreal along with Costume and Production Workshops in Montreal and Las Vegas 
 
Main tasks:  
·  Assist the Props management team in establishing and maintaining the safe and consistent operations of all production properties and puppet elements for all performances;  
·  Troubleshoot and oversee operation of all production props and puppet elements during performances;  
·  Maintain and update the props and puppet specifications and drawings of all production props and puppet elements, as well as all pertinent inspection and maintenance records;  
·  Adhere to and promote all health and safety regulations as they pertain to the safe operation of all elements related to the show; participate in all required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training. 
 
What we look for in candidates:  
·  At least one year of experience in professional Props; 
·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, AutoCAD and Windows; 
·  In-depth experience in theatrical props for large scale productions 
·  Proven skill in props fabrication, wood and metal construction;  
·  Sculpture and scenic painting skills an asset; 
·  Ability to relocate or travel 100% of time, depending on role; 
·  Ability to complete necessary training and obtain applicable certifications; 
·  Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Knowledge of other languages is an asset; 
·  Ability to provide appropriate work authorization; 
·  At least 18 years of age.
